    Description

DuraTech Roof Support is designed to support the chimney and allow the chimney to pass through the roof and extend down from the ceiling. It is ideal for cathedral ceilings and free-standing fireplace installations supporting up to a maximum total chimney length of 45' and 20' below the roof support. DuraTech Roof Support is adjustable to accommodate different roof pitches. The trim collar required for this installation is not included and must be purchased separately.
Designed for use with 6'' and 8'' diameter DuraTech Chimney Pipe
A Firestop is required when the chimney passes through ceilings/floors without a "Support Box". Since you are using a Roof Support system, firestops are required at every ceiling penetration and an attic insulation shield above it if the vent is passing through an attic space.
DuraTech is a double-wall, all-fuel chimney system for use with wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, ranges, water heaters, or other appliances fueled by wood, oil, coal, or gas, and zero-clearance fireplaces that are factory-built.

    Additional Information:
With a Thermal Tech blanket insulation encased between duel walls, DuraTech offers superior safety and performance. It keeps the outer wall cool while ensuring high flue gas temperatures for optimum draft performance. The inner wall is 25% thicker than competitive chimneys, for an extra margin of safety. Designed for normal, continuous operation at 1000 Degrees F flue gas temperatures, DuraTech is subjected to rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400 Degrees F, plus three ten minute chimney fire tests at 2100 Degrees F.
