This fan shroud works by restricting and redirecting the flow of air. Typically improvements in noise can be noticed with the naked ear. So much depends on the function and performance of your ASIC miner. We recommend this item be placed on the exhaust only. Watch for proper airflow and heat disbursement.
The image in this listing that shows decibel tests are from my personal Antminer s9s. The decibel test app was held about 1 foot above the exhaust of the miner while the fan was running at 100% speed. Because each room, setup, configuration, and environment of mining differs

This item includes one (1) fan shroud muffler made of PLA plastic. No electronics nor mechanics are involved. This item is delivered ready to use
Special Considerations:
We have found the stock fan screws provided on the miner are sufficient to install the shroud on top of the stock fan. In rare instances, you may need to purchase longer screws on your own
Manufacturing:
These items are made-to-order using 3d printing technology. It may be normal to notice glue stick residue or slightly rough surfaces. This does not affect the performance of the design.
