Hickok 6000A Tube Tester - Tested and Working

This Hickok 6000A tube tester was in a box from an estate sale. The outside of the case is pretty worn and there is what appears to be a burned spot on the top. I assume that it came in contact with something pretty hot because the inside of the lid liner is sticky where the cord was against it. The cord has red, sticky residue but is UNDAMAGED.
I was uncertain how (or if) this item worked but a gentleman who restores old tube radios showed me how to use the chart to set the dials and check a tube. He said the unit works and is a "very good machine".  The inside is clean and scroll chart moves freely. No manuals or paperwork included.
