  • Condition: Hickok designed and spec'd WWII I-177 tube tester working. Case is in good shape for its' age but could use cleaning. Electronics seem to be in working condition. Acorn tube lead has insulation break. Knuckle drags at a couple of switches have taken a toll on the numbers and lettering (see pictures). Controls all work easily and as designed. Meter reaches line setting cal mark ok but the control is at the end of travel so there may be an adjustment needed there. Power plug has been replaced in the past. Tube data booklet/manual with MX 949 adapter settings included. No adapters included but an addendum sheet is included showing how to make simple adapters for common 9 pin tubes of the era such as the 12**7 series etc. will be included. Tester is shown testing a 6L6 tube with Gm results slightly high compared to booklet data and calibration may be in order.

    Description

    The tube under test is a 6L6 and when the controls are set to read GM (Mutual Transconductance) directly the results are slightly high. When set to read the good/bad scale it reads in the mid range of the good scale.
    This item is being sold in "as is where is" condition with no returns allowed due to age and rigors of shipment. Shipping to the CONUS only via UPS ground or USPS ground and insured for value. It will be well packed to minimize any chance of possible damage. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
