THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL HELIUM HOTSPOT!!!!! it will NOT get you rewards for Proof of Coverage, Witnessing, etc. Upon the finishing of MILESTONE 2 this summer it should be able to get you HNT rewards for Packet Forwarding ONLY!
This should work out of the box with minimal physical setup. The links below show you how to program the Device, which takes some technical know how but if you follow the steps it should work fine

• Raspberry Pi 3 B+
• 5V 2.5A Power supply
• 3-piece anodized aluminum case enclosure
• RAK Wireless 915MHz 8ch LoRa concentrator + GPS Shield
• 915MHz LoRa compatible antenna (2dBi Gain / 50 Ohm)
• 16GB MicroSD card for Raspberry Pi (blank)
• 1x antenna adapters (IPEX on board to SMA on antenna)
PLEASE NOTE: Currently we are in Milestone 1.5 where these devices can be added to the blockchain. While this kit is capable of contributing and hosting as a packet forwarder to the Helium IOT network, it will NOT be eligible to gather HNT mining rewards UNTIL the start of Milestone 2 - Projected Timeline Summer 2021 - Please refer to Helium's website for Light Hotspot Beta Program Timeline!
