Rare steel console version VINTAGE 1950'S PRECISION SERIES 612  TUBE AND BATTERY TESTER.
Vintage 1940's/1950's portable electric old radio and television TV tube tester. The very heavy Steel case measures 17" by 13.5" by 7". It has a metal nameplate  marked "Precision Test Equipment, Standard Of Accuracy, Model No. 612, Serial No. 20439, Precision Apparatus Co., Inc., Elmhurst L. I., N. Y., U. S. A.". This is the Steel console version as opposed to the more common portable wooden case version.  The  case has  rubber feet. There are three  leads and a power cord all in very good condition. The tester board area reads "Series 612 Tube And Battery Tester, Precision Apparatus Co., Inc., Elmhurst L. I., N. Y., U. S. A.". There are many dials, switches, knobs, plug-in tube areas, etc. This item turns on, lights up and hums. All the dials and meters move properly as far as I can tell. The function itself is untested. The Case shows wear as pictured. The testing area looks to be in  very good condition. This tester is sold as is untested and as pictured with returns not accepted
