Tested (see pics) Vintage Military I 177B Pre TV-7 Radio Audio Tube Tester

The first 3 pics show this I-177B tester doing a line test, then testing a NOS or slightly used 2A3 reading 2700/3000 (on 0-3000 scale), and a NOS 6L6 reading 5400/5000 (on 6000 scale), so it appears to be working OK, but with one minor issue.
The A/C line rheostat apparently has a break in the winding just below the point where it line tests.  In other words, if you run the line test up from zero, the meter will not indicate anything until you get to the the point just below the correct line test point (pic 1)). Fortunately, the control is very accessible so it would be easy to replace, if desired.
Of course, this tester is rather limited in the types of tubes that it can test (no 9 pin socket for example), and you have probably noticed there's no set up booklet included.  Otherwise it's a very high quality Gm tester; a predecessor of the TV-7.
It has a nice test deck with only minor wear, and a typical case with numerous paint scratches.  The tube cap leads have a few cracks in the rubber.
Thanks to eBay's current policies regarding returns, we will no longer sell most items as working, but rather "officially" as parts, not working.
